Primarily responsible for ensuring compliance with electrical safety related codes, policies and procedures
Primarily responsible for ensuring accurate completion of installation procedures (IPs). Secondary responsibility for ensuring compliance with electrical safety related codes, policies, and procedures, especially as they involve changes in the field.
Inspection of new or modified electrical installations for adherence to the design documents, SOW, work packages, procedures, etc. and for their compliance with applicable Code/Standards.
Confirms all prerequisites are in place before IP may begin.

Verifies that new or modified electrical installations are following the IP design documents, SOW, work packages, procedures, etc.
Reviews for compliance with ESH-016 LOTO and NFPA 70E
Check for completion of individual steps in IPs and NSTX-U work packages
Review of procedures PRIOR to approval and implementation for accuracy and safety issues
Verifies sign-offs have been done (when applicable)
Oversight and reviews of: Capacitor banks, Personal Safety Interlocks, Emergency Stop Systems, and Access-Safing Procedures
Reviews NSTX-U work package for completeness before allowing it to be closed out.
Maintain and test Rubber voltage gloves and blankets
Witness electrical testing, when requested (such as high pots and meggers)
Inventory and test Ground sticks

SME for all DOE laboratories via e-mail for Electrical Codes and Safety Matters

Reviews current electrical Codes, Standards, and practices for compliance

Inspection and approval of non-NRTL electrical equipment (ENG-023)
